Officials with UC Health recently announced that the Cincinatti-based healthcare company will invest in $30m worth of improvements to the Clifton campus, working on parking, outpatient, and inpatient areas.
Richard P. Lofgren, UC Health's CEO and president, said that although the facility provides complex healthcare to those people it sees, they should not have an equally complex experience getting that care. He added UC Health needed to make it simpler for employees, visitors, and patients to find their way around the campus, and also for the campus the reflect the type of leading-edge care provided at the site. Officials making improvements like this can use flyer printing to describe the changes.
The specific projects being undertaken are at UC Medical Center, where upgrades will be made to inpatient units, underground tunnels, the emergency department, and the main lobby. The upgrades will be done over a period of two years. In addition, Signs that help people find their way around the campus will be improved and updated to make routes clearer.
A beacon on top of the UC Medical Center is distinctive, and uses LED lights. It will be reworked to make sure it clearly identifies the facility. Finally, the main parking structure at the medical center, the Goodman Garage, will be given a new facade to give it a more attractive appearance that will enhance the campus' main entrance.
