Zachary Williams, a Nashville native, is best known for his work with The Lone Bellow, a group that specializes in Americana, and for which he is frontman. He is the group’s principal songwriter, as well as its acoustic guitarist. He will be going solo for his appearance in Cincinnati, and will have a chance to perform his own music, along with that of The Lone Bellow, as well as many cover songs.
The Lone Bellow comprises a group of Southerners who now live in Brooklyn, where they developed their distinctive acoustic style of Americana. The impetus for the music was a serious accident that befell Williams’ wife, and left her temporarily paralyzed. While the couple worked on her recovery, Williams began composing music that touched on wishes, tragedy, and redemption, and this unique combination resonated with listeners.
An NPR review of Williams in performance says:
"...repeatedly took the audience from joyful, foot-stomping singalongs to a rapturous hush. Zach Williams never stopped moving . . . even leaping from the stage down to the photographers' pit, arms outstretched. If he could have embraced the thousands before him, he would have."
Williams will be at the Ludlow Garage on February 24 at 8:30 pm. Informative programs that list the songs, while also giving biographical information on the artist, are popular with audiences at events like this, and can be created using brochure printing.
