Ryan Upchurch, who goes by his last name, is a Nashville-area native who began his career mostly as a comedian, creating videos he uploaded to a number of different platforms to win fans and gain support. He coined the phrase “raise hell, eat cornbread,” sold merchandise, and became known as a “country rapper.” He has managed to turn the fans of his comedy into fans who also love his music, thus charting his own course to success.
He began his musical career by first uploading his music videos, then in 2015 he released “Cheatham County,” an EP. He followed that up in 2016 with an album “Heart of America.” Both the album and the EP charted, making it to the top 30 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. To date, Upchurch has released 13 albums, and all but one have made it onto the charts. He does not always follow the same format – some efforts are oriented completely to country music, while others have rap or rock elements.
A review of the artist's work on the album “Creeker” says:
“Ryan Upchurch has drilled southern rock and country together with some rap, and produced a rock that hits really hard.”
Upchurch will be at Riverfront Live on May 14 at 8:00 pm. Poster printing is often used to develop creative advertising for events like this.
