Fair reaches out to Cincinnati jobseekers

A job fair, concentrating on transportation, logistics, and manufacturing work, will take place very soon, offering employment opportunities to those in the Cincinnati area. In addition, the fair's participants are particularly interested in hiring veterans.

There are more than 30 businesses scheduled to participate in the event, including Xerox, Tyson Foods, UPS, Kroger, and the Boone County school district. The fair is hosted by four different organizations: Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Gateway Community and Technical College, Hero2Hired, and the Kentucky Career Center. Open to the job-hunting public, there is no charge to attend the event.

Those who plan to attend to look for work are asked to bring a copy of their résumé, and to dress appropriately to meet with potential employers, who will be conducting interviews at the fair. Digital Business Cards may also help locals make an impression.
Event organizers could work with a poster printing company to create colorful, attention-getting Posters announcing the fair. These could be posted throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, particularly near employment offices and in the city's downtown.

The job fair will be held on Thursday, June 4 in Florence, Kentucky, which is about 11 miles from Cincinnati. The event runs from noon until 4:00 pm, at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at GCTC, located at 500 Technology Way. Further information can be found on the Kentucky Center Career website.
