Newborns at a Cincinnati hospital aren't currently wearing pink or blue, but instead are sporting fins.
Cincinnati's Christ Hospital Health Network is putting newborns in onesies that resemble a “Baby Shark.” The babies are dressed up in honor one of cable television's most popular events, “Shark Week” on the Discovery Channel.
The shark onesies are part of a partnership between the hospital and Newport Aquarium, which is also located in Cincinnati. The two organizations have teamed up to put a new spin on the hospital's celebration of Shark Week. In addition to having their newborn wrapped up like a shark, the parents of the little sharks will be given two free tickets for the aquarium, which is currently presenting “Shark Summer.”
The aquarium's event includes sand sculptures by Damon Farmer, an international grandmaster in the art of sand sculpting. He has created dozens of sculptures of animals in the aquarium, some of which are eight feet in height (the sculptures, not the aquarium's denizens). He used over 14 tons of sand in the work, which will be on display until Shark Summer ends in early September. Promotional Products can be distributed by organizations engaged in special programs like this.
“Shark Week” is a full week of shark-centered programming, run annually in July or August on the Discovery Channel. It first appeared in 1988 and has become a “must see” event for millions and is one of the channel's best-loved programs.
