Celebrated tribute band comes to Cincinnati

A group often hailed as one of the best Pink Floyd tribute bands is on the way to Cincinnati.

Brit Floyd, billed as “The World’s Greatest Live Pink Floyd Experience,” is on tour with its show PULSE. The production features classic tracks from “The Wall,” “Dark Side of the Moon,” “Meddle,” “The Division Bell,” and many more. The group also promises animation, a light show, and lasers to rival the concerts given by the original group.

Pink Floyd’s last road trip, their “Division Bell Tour” in 1994, was the highest grossing in the history of rock music, playing to more than five million fans in 68 cities.

Brit Floyd has gained a following of its own, thanks to the talents of the members of the group. The outfit is led by vocalist/guitarist Damian Darlington, who is also the musical director. Throughout his career, Darlington has performed more than 2,500 concerts related to Pink Floyd. The ranks are filled out with experienced professional musicians, including Eva Avila, a Canadian Idol winner.

Brit Floyd got its start in 2011 in Liverpool, and has performed over 1,000 shows since then. The band has toured North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, playing some of the world’s most important venues including the Royal Abert Hall and Radio City Music Hall.

Brit Floyd will be at the PNG Pavilion in Cincinnati on Friday, May 18. When shows like this are scheduled, organizers will often use poster printing to create advertising to promote them.
