Cavalcade of Customs rolls into Cincinnati
Hot rods, vintage cars, and car enthusiasts are all getting ready to have a good time.
The Cavalcade of Customs will soon open in Cincinnati, with celebrity appearances, live music, and, of course, vehicles of all kinds, from custom cars and hot rods, to motorcycles and trucks.
Among the celebrities who will be on hand are Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach, who starred as Luke and Daisy Duke in the classic TV series ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’. Superstar wrestler Daniel Bryan is also scheduled, as are stars from ‘Street Outlaws’ and Summit Racing Equipment's Chop Shop. Customizing experts will give demonstrations throughout the event.
One of the highlights of the event is Student Day, in which students from automotive school groups of college and high school students are greeted by guest speakers, who will share their knowledge and experience, and help the students understand the opportunities available in the hot rod aftermarket industry.
Student Days have been part of the Cavalcade since 2006, but there are additions each year. This time, new subjects include engineering, automotive design, marine, manufacturing, small engine, motorcycle, and welding. Students also get a chance to partake in some hands-on experience.
The Cavalcade takes place in the Duke Energy Convention Center this weekend, January 8-10. Event organizers could add to the fun by creating banners to hang throughout the space, celebrating the automotive industry.
