The Orthopedic Associates typically present the Dragons 5K each year for residents and visitors to Dayton from neighboring communities such as Centerville. Due to the pandemic, the race has gone virtual this year.
Registration for the race will take place online and participants can run, walk, or hike a 5K distance in the area of their choice or on a treadmill. The time can be inputted online. Swag Bags filled with T-Shirts, a Dragons hat, a medal and tickets to a seasonal Dragons game will be given to each registrant in late August. The specific date, time and location will be announced once it is deemed safe to gather again. The Bags will need to be picked up in person as they will not be shipped.
The race is open any time through July 18. Results should be uploaded at the conclusion of the 5K. The course is up to the race participant as long as it includes a distance of at least 5K.
Race registration is $25 for adults and $15 for 17 and younger. Some new benefits are included with registration including 50% off a race fee in 2021, and 30% discount for merchandise in the Dragons Den Team Store.
Poster printing can be produced by local Print shops to promote the race throughout the neighborhoods.
