Centerville announces new season of popular events

Centerville is getting ready to start one of its favorite events—summertime concerts.

The Centerville Summer Concert Series will bring back its Party in the Park concerts. The artists coming are Who’s Bad, the Michael Jackson Experience; Draw the Line, Aerosmith Tribute; Practically Petty, Tom Petty Tribute; The Dave Matthews Tribute Band; and Twist on Taylor, Taylor Swift Tribute. All shows are free to attend.

Who’s Bad, the parent company, has numerous shows running all over the world. The Michael Jackson tribute of the same name was established in 2003 and is believed to be the longest running tribute to Michael Jackson in the world, performing more than 2,500 shows.

Draw the Line, like Aerosmith, comes from near Boston and is called the “Officially Endorsed Aerosmith Tribute Show.” The band has been touring worldwide for over 30 years, and won praise from Steven Tyler himself.

Practically Petty formed in 2009, and has performed throughout Canada, playing all Petty’s hits, including those he did with the Heartbreakers, his solo work, and other projects.

The Dave Matthews Tribute Band (DMTB) has been performing since 2004, playing more than 2,000 shows in 10 countries and 46 states in homage to the original quintet.

Twist on Taylor, a Taylor Swift tribute, rounds out the season, and will appear on June 29. Who’s Bad plays June 1, Draw the Line is on June 8, Practically Petty on June 15, and DMTB on June 22. All begin at 7:00 pm. Organizers of events like this can advertise them with Posters created at Print shops.
