Popular restaurant plans wine-pairing dinner
A national restaurant chain that is known for its wine-pairing dinners has another event on the schedule, this time in Dayton, just a few miles from Centerville.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is hosting its Ode to Autumn-Wine Club Pairing dinner. The menu will celebrate autumn, and is a wine release party featuring Padma Lakshmi, the executive producer and host of the popular television program “Taste the Nation,” and a best-selling author.
The meal features crab, ribs, and apple cobbler. The evening begins with a Spiced Pear Sangria, along with rosemary focaccia served with whipped butter and a cranberry-honey drizzle.
A pasta dish, snow crab capellini, will be served with baby spinach, roasted butternut squash, and lemon pangrattato, which are flavored breadcrumbs. The wine for this course is Padma White Wine Collaboration.
The main course is Tuscan braised short ribs of beef with celery root crema, and a parsley and carrot-cavolo Rosso salad. This course will be paired with Padma Red Wine Collaboration.
Dessert is an apple cobbler served with vanilla ice cream, and a maple caramel-brown butter sauce. The paring here is an almond sparkling wine. Diners who prefer may substitute the planned wines by vintages on the wine list.
The event is planned for November 18, from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm, at the Cooper’s Hawk location at 5220 Cornerstone North Boulevard. When they organize events like this, hosts may work with a printer who will use flyer printing to create an attractive menu.
