What's Happening in Centerville, OH…

The King heads to Centerville

The King is on his way to Centerville thanks to a talented tribute artist.

The King in question is not Charles, but Elvis Presley, who is brought to life by the award-winning artist Tyler Christopher and his backup outfit, The Roustabout Showband. Christopher and his group take audiences on a journey through Elvis’s career, from the earliest days to his stay in Las Vegas with his band. His talent has won him acclaim as one of the best Elvis tribute artists now performing.

Christopher grew up in Kentucky, and always wanted to perform. He began his career by winning numerous karaoke contests, but was introduced to Presley’s music by his father, who was a huge Elvis fan. Since Christopher was already used to performing, it seemed natural to segue from winning karaoke contests to developing a tribute act for the King of Rock and Roll. Christopher has now been performing as Elvis for nearly 20 years.

A review of Christopher’s show says:

“Tyler Christopher is the real deal – with a voice that comes as close to Elvis’s as any I’ve heard.”

Tyler Christopher and his show “The Return of the King” will be at the Town Hall Theatre in Centerville on February 7, from 7.00 pm until 9.00 pm. When organizers plan performances like this, they will often use poster printing to create colorful advertising for the event.
