Ugly sweaters not just for humans in Centerville

An upcoming Christmas event in Centerville promises to be extremely funny, as well as decidedly unusual.

A unique evening will feature goats, yoga, and ugly sweaters. Goat Country, LLC, plans to dress its cuddly goats in appropriate attire for National Ugly Sweater Day, and bring them to the upcoming yoga class. Those taking the class will have the opportunity to practice a few classic poses while they interact with the animals.

In addition, class participants are also encouraged to wear their own ugly Christmas sweaters to enjoy what is rapidly becoming a holiday tradition. At the end of the session, there will be time to cuddle the mini goats and pose for photos with them, with everyone in the worst-looking sweaters it is possible to find. Organizers of events like this often use poster printing to create advertising for them.

Organizers warn that goats may nibble on loose clothing, yoga mats, and other materials. They advice everyone to bring an old mat and a truly ugly sweater they will not miss if it gets eaten.

The Centerville-Washington Park District is the organizer of the event, which is limited to those aged 18 and older. It will take place Thursday, December 19, from 6.00 pm until 7.00 pm at the Community Room at Activity Center Park, 221 North Main Street. The fee for the evening is $33 for residents, and $43 for non-residents, and the deadline for registration is December 16.
