Educational seminar aids teachers in Akron
An educational seminar is returning to Akron next month, allowing area educators to network and grow their skills in a welcoming setting.
The 31st Annual Virginia Miller Educational Seminar will bring teachers from around the Akron area together to hone existing skills while learning new ones. The seminar will feature two separate sessions, with one beginning in the morning and the other starting in the afternoon. Attendees will enjoy opportunities to listen to distinguished speakers, including Byron Guisbert of Adaptive Switch Labs and Jay Doherty of Pride/Quantum.
Dan Fedor will be the keynote speaker. His speech will focus on completing compliant evaluations for mobility devices and reducing time spent on documentation. Fedor will open the event with his speech, slated to begin at 8:30 AM and last until noon. Printing services are an excellent way to take notes for information retention at such events.
Lunch will be included in the admission price before the afternoon session resumes. Attendees can use the seminar to gain credits for continuing education. Up to six credits have been approved for attending this educational seminar.
The seminar will be held at Guy’s Party Center on Thursday, October 24, with the doors opening at 8:00 AM and the event concluding at 5:00 PM. More information will be released in the coming weeks. Tickets cost $100 per guest and can be purchased online.
