A hands-on weekend adventure awaits Akron families later this month when the Akron Children’s Museum in downtown Akron hosts the returning popular interactive event “Rails & Runways!”
According to museum officials, the event is oriented towards younger children and their families and augments the museum's long running “Akron Express” programming series designed to encourage youngsters to learn via play and exploration of how things work, from railways to runways.
Museums and other public venues can rely on local Print shops to provide them with a number of services, among which are brochure, banner and ticket printing services.
Organizers say children and their families can look forward to a mixture of creative and educational experiences that include but are not limited to aviation-themed play and model train displays, plus hands-on STEM activities. Moreover, the children will be able to make take-home crafts, and interactive stations will be available for exploration.
This immersive view of transportation via activities and interactive exhibits will take place 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26. Tickets will be required, with non-member tickets costing $10 per adult and $12 per child. Akron Children’s Museum members receive a discount.
Parking is accessible in proximity to the museum and there are validation options available at the parking deck on State Street.
