Akron Zoo ready for 10th annual Wild Lights

The Akron Zoo will celebrate a decade of holiday light displays with this year’s Wild Lights event with what it describes as “Wow!” moments scattered throughout the park.

Over one million lights will be on display, according to an Akron Zoo press release, as well as themed areas with returning as well as new displays. This year Wild Lights will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the first three weekends following Thanksgiving and the whole week December 17th- 23rd, 26th, and the last weekend of the year from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Many events benefit from the use of banner printing services to inform the public of differing available features or attractions

The Grinch will be on hand daily along with the friendly elf; however, Santa will only be onsite up until Christmas.

One specific date is being set aside for those with sensory issues. Known as Zoothing Wild Lights, this date will feature smaller crowds, lower volume music and be devoid of flashing lights. Due to the need to control crowd size a limited number of tickets will be offered. Those wishing to attend Zoothing Wild Lights, which will take place this week on December 4th, 5-9 pm, should reserve their spaces as soon as possible.
