Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival return to Akron
The popular “Gilmore Girls”-themed Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival is once again taking place in Downtown Akron.
This year attendees of the event will see a representation of the fictional town of Stars Hollow in Lock 3. Admission is free and over a dozen coffee vendors, as well as activities and boutique shopping locations reminiscent of the Amy Sherman-Palladino TV show will be on hand.
Banner printing services are highly effective at reminding residents as well as visitors when a special event will be taking place.
John Cabera and Todd Lowe, who respectively played Brian Fuller and Zack Van Gerbig, members of the band Hep Alien on the show, will be on hand for selfies, signing autographs and hosting sing-alongs. Plus, there will be a free concert featuring Grant-Lee Phillips, the “Gilmore Girls” town troubadour at 6 pm on the Locke 3 stage.
There will also be a Q&A session with Kristine Eckart the author of “Meet Me at Luke’s: Lessons in Life and Love from Gilmore Girls”. Eckart will have signed copies of her book on hand for sale.
A variety of show-themed activities will take place such as a Luke-Alike Contest, Street Craftery ornament making, the Akron-Summit County Library’s TechZone's button making and the nearby Barley House hosting of a “Gilmore Girls” trivia contest.
Stars Hollow will come to life in Akron on November 1, 12 pm to 7:30 pm.
