Akron to see Spirits raised
Spirit Airlines is now offering flights from Akron, making Akron-Canton Airport the 57th field that handles the carrier, according to WOIO, Cleveland 19 News.
Beginning this November, Spirit will fly nonstop to four destinations in Florida, with two on a daily basis. The airline will also offer seasonal flights to Myrtle Beach starting next year.
Spirit will fly to both Fort Lauderdale and Orlando once a day. It will also fly to Tampa three days each week in season; Fort Myers four days per week in season; and Myrtle Beach once daily during the season.
Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines' VP of network planning, says that the Akron-Canton Airport is the perfect location to expand the carrier's network. He notes that Spirit offers ‘Frill Control’, an option that allows passengers to select only those extras they are willing to pay for. This allows travelers to control how much they spend on travel. Kopczak adds the new flights are in addition to those operating out of Cleveland, and give Ohio travelers even more options.
Service to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa starts November 10, and service to Fort Myers begins the following day. The Myrtle Beach flights start April 27, 2017.
Companies such as these can benefit by working with brochure printers, who can create informative booklets about new services that can be distributed in public places.
