Akron jeweler gives headquarters a facelift
Signet Jewelers Limited renovated its headquarters in West Akron, and recently held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the expansion and improvements to the premises.
The store offers 86,000 square feet over four stories, and now has a new entrance that leads to a two-story lobby. In addition, the company's history is presented on a digital wall, and technology is also found in areas that can be used for work or for collaboration. The building also has a number of “green” features.
Virginia Drosos, the CEO of Signet, is enthusiastic about the building, and the impact it will have on the business and Signet's customers. She says the new structure blends functionality, aesthetics, creativity, and vision, all of which will help the company provide outstanding customer service.
The opening ceremony took place with Dan Horrigan, the mayor of Akron, in attendance, along with state Representative Emilia Sykes and a selection of employees and business partners, some of whom helped to design and build the company's new offices.
The opening took place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which led Drosos to say that the diversity of the company is one of the reasons for its success. In addition, she believes that putting the customer first, as well as being good environmental stewards, will also allow Signet to grow and prosper.
Celebrations like this can be even more fun if the company creates banners to welcome visitors to the venue.
