White Plains is putting on an Oktoberfest event this fall.
The festival will feature seasonal food, live music, and German beers. Melina and the Oompahs will perform. This New York City-based group plays traditional German music and has appeared at many Oktoberfest events, including the flagship one in Munich. There will be a DJ for the rest of the afternoon. The event is suitable for all ages, and there will be several family-friendly activities for kids. Games and competitions will also take place throughout the afternoon. Several local restaurants will have food available for purchase.
Everyone planning to purchase alcohol needs to buy a wristband to indicate that they are 21 or older. Wristbands are available on the White Plains Business Improvement District’s website now for a discounted price of $11, or at the event for $15. Adults will need to show a valid ID to get their wristbands. Otherwise, the event is free to attend. Several beer brands are sponsoring the festival. Sponsoring businesses often give out Promotional Products at this type of event.
Metered parking is available throughout downtown White Plains. Festival attendees are encouraged to download the ParkWhitePlains app to find and pay for parking. Coolers, drones, bicycles, and unsealed beverage bottles are prohibited.
White Plains Oktoberfest will take place on Sunday, October 8 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Mamaroneck Avenue.
