ArtsWestchester is hosting a kid-focused arts event in its building in White Plains this spring.
Family Artsbash will feature a selection of interactive kids’ activities, as well as exhibits and shopping for all ages. Kids can participate in workshops like clay sculpting, card making, cookie decorating, friendship bracelet design, and felt flower making. They can also have their face painted, stop by the ArtsMobile, and attend a puppet show. Participants can also visit the center’s current art exhibits, where they can shop for unique pieces.
The building includes studio space for several local artists who will be offering an open house set up so visitors can see their workspaces and current projects. These artists work in a variety of media including photography, ballet, charcoal drawing, collage, and painting. Details about each of the participating artists are available on the event page. The website also includes the schedule and locations of all of the workshops. Venues often use poster printing services to mark different areas of their events.
Tickets are available now on ArtsWestchester’s website. The cost is $10 per child from ages 3 to 17. Adults, as well as kids under, can attend for free but are still asked to sign up.
The 2024 Family ArtsBash will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the ArtsWestchester building in White Plains.
