Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester and Putnam is hosting a bowling fundraiser in White Plains this June.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is aiming to raise at least $50,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters. The event will include bowling, food, drinks and raffles. Raffle prizes have been donated by both national companies like Target and Dave and Buster’s and local businesses including Bacchanal Wine Imports.
Participants are encouraged to form teams of four to six players. They can register for the event on Big Brothers Big Sisters’ website by either starting a new team or joining an existing one. Bowlers of all ages are welcome. Teams have a $500 minimum fundraising requirement with a suggested goal of $100 per person. Those interested in making a donation can sponsor a specific team or contribute to the event in general. Nonprofits often work with Print shops to create materials to recognize sponsors and donors at their events.
Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs kids and teens ages seven to 17 with adult volunteers for one-on-one mentoring. Forming supportive, long-term relationships is intended to help young people set and achieve goals, have new experiences and build life skills.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake will take place on Thursday, June 5 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Bowlero Lanes in White Plains.
