Westchester kids nonprofit to host anniversary fundraiser

Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) is celebrating its 110th anniversary this June.

The event will honor the winners of three major awards from WCA while raising funds to support the organization’s continued work. White Plains Hospital is receiving the Edith C. Macy Award for Distinguished Service, AT&T External Affairs Director Robin White is receiving the Corporate Children’s Champion Award, and humanitarian and child advocate Barbara J. Holland is receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

All proceeds from the event will support WCA’s programs. WCA works to ensure that all children have a strong and healthy start to their lives, regardless of their economic background or race. Specific focuses range from addressing youth homelessness to increasing digital access. The group’s work includes advocacy, public education, coalition leadership, and data analysis.

Those planning to attend should purchase tickets online by Friday, May 24. The cost is $300 per individual ticket. Sponsorships and journal ads are also available. Materials with sponsor information will be available both digitally and in Print. Sponsors and attendees are encouraged to “give 110%” and make an extra donation. Journal ads cost between $250 and $1,500 depending on the size. Nonprofits often work with Stationery printers to create the materials for their events.

WCA’s 110 Years of Advocacy celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00 pm at the Opus Hotel in White Plains.
