Oktoberfest to return to White Plains
White Plains is hosting its annual Oktoberfest celebration this fall.
White Plains Oktoberfest includes live music, games, food, and beer. It will take place on Mamaroneck Avenue between Post Road and Maple Avenue. Local restaurants scheduled to offer food stands include Walter’s Hot Dog Truck, Brazen Fox, Ron Blacks Beer Hall, Cantina Taco and Tequila Bar, and Sundance, which will serve German-inspired specials.
Entertainment will include contests, games, kid-friendly activities, and performances from Melina and the Oompahs, a New York City-based band that specializes in providing entertainment at Oktoberfest celebrations like Hudson Valley Oktoberfest and several private events.
To purchase beer or cider, attendees also need to buy wristbands. Wristbands are available online now for $11 or at the event for $15. Attendees will need to show ID for age verification when buying or picking up their wristbands. Non-drinkers do not need tickets or wristbands to attend the festival. Both local and national beverage brands are sponsoring the event. Sponsors often give out promotional products at this type of celebration.
Oktoberfest will take place rain or shine. Umbrellas will not be permitted. Attendees may wish to check the event listing on the White Plains Business Improvement District’s website for a full list of prohibited items and other details.
White Plains Oktoberfest will take place on Sunday, October 13 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
