Wappingers Falls to host educational course

There will be a medical trauma course held in Wappingers Falls, New York next month.

The event is organized by OnSight Medical Training and aims to give attendees the knowledge necessary to provide emergency trauma response. Emphasis will be placed especially on bandaging wounds and stopping hemorrhaging. Other topics will include fractures, airway management, and lacerations. The use of basic medical equipment will also be taught.

Individual tickets will guarantee entry and give members access to a med kit and a personal first aid kit. The cost for tickets is $150 per person. Tickets will need to be pre-ordered and there is a $50 deposit required upon registration. Cancellations are not refundable. If they no longer want to participate in the course, patrons may choose to enter another course instead.

The speaker for the course will be Christopher Goemans, who has been a certified and trained EMT for over 20 years. He has also taught similar courses for charities such as the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. He currently co-owns a security company.
