Wappingers Falls honors local bikers

Wappingers Falls 7th Annual Gabriel P. Hayes Memorial Ride will be taking place toward the end of September. The event has been organized to honor the lives of veterans Gabriel P. Hayes, Ben "Linedog" Nowell and Tracey "Taz" Williams.

Rider tickets will be $35, and passenger tickets will be $20. Those riders who preregister will receive their choice of a Steel Horse Chapter challenge coin or an event t-shirt.

Groups that provide T-Shirts as part of their event swag often have local Print shops create a Logo Design or graphic design to put on shirt fronts.

Proceeds will go to the Punishers LEMC (Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club) 31st Chapter and to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Heavy Gauge, one of Hudson Valley's favorite groups that plays everything from Alice in Chains to Led Zeppelin, will be providing the live music, and there will be a buffet lunch and a 50/50 raffle. Support gear such as challenge coins, patches and shirts will be available for purchase.

The 7th Annual Gabriel P. Hayes Memorial Ride will take place at the New Hackensack Fire District, 217 Myers Corners Road, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 20th. The sign-up will run from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and the police-escorted scenic ride will begin with KSU (kick stands up) at 11:30 am sharp.
