Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie’s Red Suit Ramble will be coming to Wappingers Falls in mid-December, and Winter Glow will take place on Christmas night.
The Ramble will be a fun run through town to enjoy this year's holiday lights, spread holiday cheer, and celebrate the season with family and friends. All runners will receive Santa suits when they register for $16.90. Teams that participate in events like this often take group pictures at the start of the race and send the photos to local Print shops for duplicates for everybody.
Since the route will be on open roads, all runners will want to wear visibility gear. Parking will be available on site, and participants are to begin their runs at the parking lot at Spins Bowl Wappingers Falls, 1677 US-9. The Spins Bowl will be open if anyone wishes to warm up or meet their friends afterward.
Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie’s Red Suit Ramble will take place on Wednesday, December 17 beginning at 6:00 pm.
Also, for a special treat, Heritage Financial Park at 1500 Route 9D will hold Winter Glow, a holiday light show drive-through for one night only. The mile-long route will feature larger-then-life lighted displays synchronized to seasonal music. The drive will be about 30 to 45 minutes long. Admission will be $15 per vehicle.
Winter Glow will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Christmas Day, December 25.
