Wappingers Falls Historical Society hosts two events

Wappingers Historical Society will be hosting a Mesier Homestead Tour Day in mid-November and a Sinterklaas Day in early December.

Docents will be leading 1 1/2-hour tours of the Mesier Homestead including the main house's upstairs. Guests will be treated to 12 Victorian Era-styled rooms filled with local antiquities and North American artifacts including items from early Town of Wappingers and Village of Wappingers Falls businesses.

Adult admission will be $10; Senior admission will be $7 and youth ages 7 to 18 will be $5.

Gift shops for historical societies like this often carry art and Books from locals and post cards produced by nearby Print shops.

Mesier Homestead Tour Day will be Sunday November 16th at the Mesier Homestead 2 Spring Street. Admission time slots will be 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 PM.

Children and their families are invited to Sinterklaas and Dutch Holiday Traditions to learn about holiday traditions brought to New Netherland by the early Dutch. Guests will experience a St. Nicholas Eve or Sinterklaasavond, eat traditional Dutch sweets, enjoy activities provided by Wappingers Falls Historical Society volunteers, and meet St. Nicolas.

Tickets will be $5 for one child and up to two adults, and $8 for one adult only.

The program will be at 11:00 am, 12:15 pm and 1:30 pm on December 6th.
