Wappingers Falls tees off for community service organization
A fundraiser has been planned for Wappingers Falls, and is likely to be warmly welcomed by local golfers.
The Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County, which is the organizer of the Putt Fore ACTION, explained that the players will be having a day of fun while they support a variety of projects that benefit the underprivileged in the area and offer them a helping hand up. Tickets to play are $45 each, and this includes the golf as well as light refreshments.
The activity will kick off with a shotgun start, and there will be time for the team members to meet, network and enjoy one another’s company. Prizes will be presented to the top players, and an assortment of contests and raffle draws are on the agenda as well.
To thank Smith Benefits Group, which will be the presenting sponsor for the fundraiser, the planners have included its logo design on its online event listing and in other locations as well. There are still opportunities available for local businesses that would like to lend their financial support to the occasion.
