Dutchess County St. Patrick's Day celebration will be coming to the Wappingers Falls area in early March.
This year's 30th St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal will be Margo Maher, and her aides will be Rosemarie Lord, Maureen Brennan Lashlee and Maureen Lynch Straub.
The parade will begin with the Escort Division including a color guard, area police cars, Sheriff, Kirk Imperati, pipe and drums, and the 2025 Grand Marshal, aides and local dignitaries. The Escort Division will be followed by four divisions.
The Escort Division will line up at the Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery; the Frist Division Ulster will line up on North Street; the Second Division Munster will line up on McCafferty Place; The Third Division Leinster will line up behind the Second Division on McCafferty Place, and the Fourth Division Connauch will cue up to Clinton Street.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of W Main and McCafferty Place, go onto New York 9D, turn east onto Elm and north on S Mesler Avenue ending at Mesler Park.
Units in St. Patrick's Day parades like this often do a little banner printing beforehand to have green and white Banners decorated with shamrocks marching before them to introduce them to the spectators.
The Dutchess County St. Patrick's Parade will take place Saturday, March 1st beginning at 1:00 pm.
