Wappingers Falls farm to host fall festival event
One of Fishkill Farms' several fall festival dates will fall on the Halloween weekend this year. This event features several autumnal activities and entertainment for all ages.
With a pick-your-own reservation and fee, guests will not just enjoy picking fresh apples and pumpkins, but also wagon rides throughout the orchards included with the price. Access to the corn maze is also included, but there is an additional ticket price of $3. One of those ticket dollars goes to a different local charity each week.
Everything else is free to visit. The Treasury Bar serves hard apple cider on tap made from Fishkill's own apples. The Fishkill Farms Grill serves Jamaican jerk chicken, grass-fed burgers, and other meals. There is also the Farm Store, which has all kinds of fall favorites like artisanal cheeses, local meats, and homemade pies.
For entertainment, a variety of local bands will be playing in the Fishkill Farms courtyard from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Nina and the Gun will be the chosen act on October 30. This duo has been playing reggae/rock music together for over 13 years.
