County Players will be having their Spring Theatre Tour and On Golden Pond auditions in mid-April, and its production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in early May.
The tour will be a four-hour self-guided experience beginning in the theater’s lobby. Wappingers Falls guests will proceed to the theater, meeting volunteers who will explain the theatrical process from page to stage. Technical volunteers will discuss lighting technics that bring the director’s ideas to life. The tour will end back in the lobby where visitors will learn about upcoming shows and volunteer opportunities.
Tours will take place between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm April 16th.
That evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the playhouse will hold auditions for the American Classic “On Golden Pond”. Scripts will be provided. The cast will be confirmed before any seasonal brochure printing gets done.
Performances will be the first three Fridays and Saturdays in July and Sunday the 16th.
The next production will be Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed comedy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Attendees can enjoy a romp through Rome with secrets, lovers, and neighbors in an energetic evening of vaudeville and slapstick.
This performance will open May 5 from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm at County Players Fall Theatre, 2681 W Main Street.
