Cornhole tournaments for Wappingers Falls
Three cornhole tournaments have been scheduled for April in and around Wappingers Falls.
The first one will be April 7th in Poughkeepsie as Elks Lodge, 29 Overrocker Road, will host an 11-year-old Gabby's Cancer Care Fundraiser. Registration will begin at 10:00 am with the tournament beginning at 11:00 am. All skill levels welcome.
A Spring Cornhole league here in Wappingers Falls will have its organizing event on Friday, April 19th. The organizers are planning to have three types of cornhole divisions - competitive, social and backyard- with an advanced division if there is enough interest. Teams will be limited to three to 10 players and registration will be $350 per team. There will be a 32-team maximum.
This event will take place at DC Sports, 1630 Route 9, and open at 6:30 pm.
Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff's PBA will be holding its inaugural Bags for Badges fundraiser on Saturday April 20th. All skill levels are welcome to compete. Early registration for individual players is $40 and will go up to $50 on event day. Teams may preregister for $80, and fees will go up to $100 per team on event day. Teams that preregister will receive T-shirts sporting the event's graphic design.
Bags for Badges will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, 14 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie.
