Special Caribbean healthcare award given to Nanuet non-profit
The Caribbean American Healthcare Award was recently presented to President and Founder of Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WCFR), Jacqueline Cassagnol, MSN, RN, PhD., a native of Brooklyn, New York and daughter of Haitian immigrants. Worldwide Community First Responder is located in Nanuet.
Her steadfastness to achieving success in the healthcare industry in New York City and exemplifying what it means to thoroughly enjoy her career enabled her to be selected for this award. Announcements of such awards can be made known throughout the community by means of poster printing.
Cassagnol founded WCFR to help those who suffered as a result of the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. WCFR is a nonprofit that provides first aid, health education, and training in disaster-preparedness. Her work also has included making presentations about WCFR and its efforts in collaborating with other nonprofits at nursing conference as the local, national, and international levels.
Her education includes masters’ degrees in nursing administration and in nursing education from Mercy College. Now she is a doctoral candidate studying nursing at Pace University.
Other distinguished awards have been given to Cassagnol for her service to the community. These have included the U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce, Inc. giving her the Haitian American Young Citizen of the Year Award and being inducted in November 2018 in the New York Academy of Medicine.
