New stores will be coming to Rockland Plaza in Nanuet.
There will be a Burlington store in what was once Modell’s and Norstrom Rack, which was once a Petco and a Barnes & Noble store. Other establishments planned for the shopping center include Motion PT, an outpatient provider of occupational, physical, and speech therapy and a small Ann Taylor Factory Store.
The Nordstrom Rack store will span 25,000 square feet while the Ann Taylor Factory Store will span 5,000 square feet. Motion Pt will be 4,000 square feet in size. The Burlington store will span 29,000 square feet. There will be a variety of tenants in smaller shops such as Naya and Honeygrow as well as a Quickway Hibachi of 3,000 square feet and a standalone building of 5,000 square feet.
Rockland Plaza is on the northwest corner of Middletown Road and Route 59 and is owned by Brixmor Property Group. Brixmor said that these new stores are designed to elevate the merchandizing mix of the shopping center and to modernize it. Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform residents of such updates and their benefits for the community.
Preliminary approval has been granted by the Clarkstown Planning Board. This included reducing the number of parking spaces from 1,075 to 926.
Brixmor has not provided a completion date for these new stores.
