New eateries to open in Nanuet
Construction is almost complete on new retail establishments in the Rockland Plaza in Nanuet.
These two new establishments will be located in what was once Michael’s Tuxedo. George Hoehmann, Supervisor of Clarkstown, expressed his delight in welcoming Chipotle and Shake Shack to the area. He added that residents have great pride in their town and are very much looking forward to having both of these businesses come to Nanuet, and said that it is confirmation that the area is growing and business is doing well.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is a chain of casual fast food restaurants that specializes in tacos and burritos. It prides itself on raising beef responsibly and meeting some of the highest standards in animal welfare. The chain has over 2,000 shops in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Its headquarters in in Newport Beach, California.
Shake Shack is also a chain of casual fast food restaurants, serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken burgers, and milkshakes. Beverages include beer and wine as well. The chain is known for its ShakeBurger, which is a patty of beef, American cheese, tomato, lettuce, and their specialty sauce.

The two shops are expected to open either in November or December.
