At the end of this year, Mt. Fuji Steakhouse in Hillburn will be celebrating five decades of serving Japanese hibachi cuisine to those in Nanuet and the surrounding communities, and it wants to mark the occasion.
The family-owned business is a landmark on the New York State Thruway. The Fujita family, which owns and runs the restaurant, is celebrating by renovating and updating the restaurant.
To celebrate the 50-year anniversary in December, the restaurant is renovating its event space known as The Views, and elsewhere in the restaurant. The lounge is being expanded with offering small plates from a Japanese fusion menu, and will be updated with a modern atmosphere to offer a sophisticated dining experience.
Banner printing is often used to announce such milestones in a community and the special projects that are being carried out to celebrate them.
Mt. Fuji Steakhouse is a chain that was started in 1969 in Fairview, New Jersey. The parents of current owner Nancy Fujita, Mr. and Mrs. Tokuaki Fujita, named the restaurant after the tallest mountain in Japan – a sacred site to the Japanese people.
The restaurant specializes in corporate events and family celebrations ranging from big family weddings, to private parties, and dinner parties at its Hibachi. The family enjoys creating traditions and memories for its customers.
