Midlife work changes, planning for retirement and much more will be discussed at the Women in Transition workshop later this month.
The organizers of Women in Transition have planned it to be informative and supportive for all women over 50 that are ready for a change. The Long Island Chapter of the Transition Network is an organization for women that have reached midlife and beyond. The group helps people to network and collaborate with others to gain emotional support and encouragement. It offers a variety of events throughout the year.
The Women in Transition workshop is designed to enable Merrick women to meet others they can maintain contact with rather than just receive momentary motivation. Members of the organization Rhoda Berkson, Nancy Goldwasser, and Barbara Isenstadt will be in attendance and assisting with the discussions.
Attendees are invited to bring Business Cards, résumés, or other information with them for review and advice about new business ventures or other personal efforts. Registration for the event must be completed before April 18. The cost is $35 for members of the Transition Network and $45 for nonmembers. Visit the organization’s website to register.
