Merrick celebrates spring in a big way

Merrick will welcome the changing seasons with not one but two festivals.

The Merrick Spring Fest is a family-friendly event featuring live music, a carnival, food trucks, and vendors. The weekend is the perfect shopping opportunity for the whole family, since about 75 vendors are expected to attend. In addition, shoppers will have a chance to speak directly to the craftspeople and discuss their products.

The second festival on the schedule is for the younger set. The Merrick Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Spring Kids Fest carnival will be held in a novel venue – the Merrick station of the Long Island Rail Road. Families will enjoy carnival rides provided by Newton Shows, a wide variety of food, carnival games, exhibitors, vendors, and illusion and magic shows for children.

The Merrick Spring Fest is scheduled for April 25 and 26 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm both days. Admission and parking are both free of charge.

The Spring Kids’ Fest is a three-day celebration, running from April 24 through April 26. Admission for this festival is also free. Hours are Friday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, but the exhibitors will only be available up until 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Events like these can benefit when organizers create colorful advertising for them using poster printing.
