Spectronics Corporation, headquartered in Westbury, just a short distance from Merrick, recently announced the release of an innovative leak detection solution for the aeronautics industry.
The Spectroline MDE-2000NC Marksman II diagnostic tool is able to convert and amplify the inaudible ultrasonic sounds of component wear, pressurized leaks, and other defects in their early stages, transforming them into natural audible ones.
With this tool, aircraft technicians can hear the smallest pressurized leaks in breaks and tires before they become major problems for an aircraft. The tool has a probe so that it can pinpoint damage or wear to bearings, gears, and other components without having to disassemble them.
Among the items that come with the Marksman II are an ultrasonic receiver, headphones that block out noise, a solid contact and a hollow air probe, and an ultrasonic emitter that helps find faulty weather-stripping, gaskets, and seals in enclosures.
Spectronics Corporation began inventing fluorescent leak detection in 1955. In addition to the Marksman II, the company recently released a universal fluorescent dye and an LED flashlight for locating hydraulic, lubrication, and fuel leaks in aviation systems.
The use of brochure printing would be a good way for customers in the aviation, air conditioning and refrigeration, and semiconductor industries, among others, to learn about all of the company’s products and applications.
