Merrick chamber holds Halloween parade

The annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Parade will be held later this week by the Merrick Chamber of Commerce. The parade route will begin at Purick Park and then proceed on Merrick Avenue to the gazebo at Veterans Plaza of the Long Island Railroad station for Merrick.

There will be free goodie Bags and treats handed out by merchants along the route of the parade.

The purpose of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce is to provide comprehensive opportunities for networking, educational programs, community events of a high-profile nature, fundraisers, and public relations campaigns so as to assist the business community of the town.

Members can use the services of the Chamber to enhance the development of their businesses by sharing resources, building relationships, and creating a referral base of businesses that they can trust.

Featured benefits that members gain include a listing in the Merrick Chamber of Commerce Directory; a link to the business’ web site, and a free listing in the Merrick Life Web Directory and Merrick Herald.

The parade will be held on Saturday, October 25 beginning at 11:00 am and will run until 12:30 pm rain or shine. Most likely, one of the Chamber’s members is donating its printing services so that the Chamber can Print Flyers about the parade and distribute them throughout the community, thus raising awareness.
