Locally Made: A Long Island Marketplace artisan fair still has openings for artists and vendors for the event.
PO’P Gallery is the organizer of this first-time artisan fair. The Baldwin-based group wants to give creative people across Nassau and Suffolk county the opportunity to show off their talents.
PO’P Gallery began as a place for people in the Merrick and Baldwin area to create and experience local art. The organization offers cultural programs, studio use, and art classes, as well as sponsoring and hosting a variety of entertainment productions.
All types of creators can join the artisan fair. Writers, furniture makers and anyone with a unique and interesting product or skill are welcome to register and take part in the one-day event. Anyone interested should visit the Print shops and get their Business Cards, resumes, or brochure printing ready. All registered artists will have their own 52” table to display their work and comfortable chairs. The gallery promises an elegantly designed marketplace to help set the perfect background for all creative endeavors.
The event will also include music and food, and will take place on Saturday, June 16 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm. The market will be set up at the PO’P Gallery found at 822 Merrick Road in Baldwin. Visit the Eventbrite website to register for the fair for a fee of $50 per vendor.
