Local volunteers and business leaders have announced that the date for the Grand Baldwin Festival has been set for another year.
This event features dozens of local businesses, restaurants, and non-profits. In addition to featuring businesses from the entire community, including Merrick, it also features non-profits and local bands from the local high school.
The event is sponsored by the Baldwin Council Against Drug Abuse and is meant to raise funds to help this organization continue its mission. As such, event attendees are encouraged to attend not only to have a great time, but to help a local non-profit carry out its objectives as well. It is free for community members to attend and is meant to benefit the entire Baldwin community.
Event sponsors and vendor registration ends on April 1, so businesses are interested in supporting this event and potentially buying Corporate Gifts are encouraged to fill out sponsorship information as soon as possible. The festival is also seeking volunteers for a variety of positions before, during, and after the festival, including helping with set-up and collecting tickets. Individuals interested in volunteering can check out the event website.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 29th, with a rain date for the following day. It will be held in the parking lot behind the Baldwin Public Library at 2385 Grand Avenue in Baldwin.
