As part of their efforts to promote education on a variety of aspects of modern life, the Merrick, NY Library will be teaching attendees what podcasts are and how they can be accessed.
Podcasts have become wildly popular over the past few years, with some statistics showing that tens of millions of Americans tune in to them, spending millions of hours in total listening in search of information, education, and entertainment.
As part of an effort to ensure that community members have the information they need to thrive in modern society, the Merrick Library is offering this class. It will teach attendees the answers to questions like:
• What is a podcast?
• Do I need a computer to listen to an episode?
• How do I follow or subscribe to a podcast?
For more information on this event or others at the venue, individuals are encouraged to check out the Merrick Library website. An online calendar of events is available that shows other events, and libraries also usually use flyer printing to display their upcoming activities.
The event is being held next Wednesday, June 28, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. It is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Locals are encouraged to attend the event if they can, and stay for as long as possible.
