The Jetty Bar and Grill's Fifth Annual Meatball Contest is ready to begin, and everyone is invited.
The meatball function as well as an appetizer as it does a sandwich feature or an entree ingredient. The search now begins again for the newest Long Island meatball champion that can give the crowds the exciting new flavors they are craving. The afternoon event will include meatball and wine tasting for all guests.
Anyone who has what they think is the best meatball recipe may wish to contact their local printing company to create some recipe cards and visit the Jetty Bar and Grill Facebook page. They can connect to the Meatball Contest Event page from there to complete the registration form. Competitors will be vying for cash prizes, gift baskets, and cards, as well as trophies and bragging rights.
Admission to the event is $15 and contestants are asked to contribute a minimum donation of $25. All proceeds from the contest will go to support the Long Island Gaels Gaelic football team. The Long Island Gaels carry on the tradition of the Irish sport in the U.S. through competitive teams and camps for girls and boys ages 6-17.
The contest takes place on December 9, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at Jetty Bar and Grill located at 832 West Beech Street in Long Beach.
