Billed as the “Warbirds, Wings and Wheels Show”, the American Airpower Museum (AAM) in Farmingdale will host a celebration focusing on vintage automobiles and airplanes during the Labor Day weekend.
Only about a dozen miles from Merrick, the event could easily be included in anyone’s end-of-summer holiday plans. Both days are scheduled for 10:30 am to 5:00 pm and will allow visitors to get a close-up look at Model A and T Fords, as well as biplanes. Flying demonstrations will take place featuring World War II planes from the museum’s restored aircraft collection.
Print shops supply Banners, Posters, and Flyers, all of which are excellent for marketing events.
The Bayport Aerodrome Society will send some of its vintage biplanes to Farmingdale on Saturday, September 4. After touching down on the tarmac they will taxi to the AAM’s Hangar 3 ramp. The Long Island Model A Ford Club will supply the historic cars.
Next Sunday, September 5, a WWII squadron will perform flight maneuvers above the Republic Airport. Among the vintage aircraft scheduled to fly on September 5 will be the WWII North American AT-6D Texans, P-40 Flying Tiger, P-51D Mustang and the Douglas C-47 Skytrain.
