Guitar expo one of largest in New York

Necks, strings, frets and humbuckers will be among the words heard in conversations at the upcoming NY Guitar Expo, not far from Merrick.

In its 9th year, the trade show will feature new and used electric and acoustic guitars for sale or trade, as well as amplifiers and all sorts of guitar gear such as cases, picks and pickups.

Vendors will consist of guitar and gear manufacturers, as well as custom builders. It is one of the state's largest guitar shows, with more than 10,000 square feet of exhibit space and 100 booths.

Returning after a year hiatus is the expo's Les Paul Exhibit. Les Paul, who died in 2009, is often cited as the inventor of the modern electric guitar, and one of Gibson's iconic guitar models still bears his name. The exhibit will feature some guitars and inventions from his actual collection. Visitors can take photographs of the items and even play some of the guitars. The exhibit was curated by one of Les Paul's longtime friends, who will be at the show to tell the stories behind the pieces.

Vendors and sponsors at events such as these can use business card printing and brochure printing services to supply professional materials for potential customers.

The NY Guitar Expo is still going ahead at the time of writing, and is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 4 (10:00 am to 5:30 pm) and Sunday, April 5 (10:00 am to 5:00 pm) at the Freeport Recreation Center.
