Once again, Long Island music lovers will be able to enjoy the four-day, fun-filled event that they have missed for the last two years as the popular Great South Bay Music Festival returns to Patchogue’s Shorefront Park.
According to festival organizers, a diverse mix of music makers will provide entertainment at the event, some of them well known locally and others of international fame. Merrick music lovers, as well as those throughout Long Island, will be able to hear the best in genres as diverse as jam band rock, pop-punk, and reggae.
The long weekend of music starts on Thursday, July 7 with GroupLove, an indie pop rock from Los Angeles. Also appearing are Manchester Orchestra, an alternative rock group from Atlanta, and Bayside, a pop-punk band from Queens.
Poster printing services are a popular means for concerts and festivals to promote themselves.
July 8 will offer music groups Badfish, Bumpin Uglies, Rebelution, and Steel Pulse. Going into the traditional weekend, the line-up for July 9 will include Moe and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. The last day of the festival, July 10, will feature Los Lobos, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Gabe Dixon.
In addition to the music, a “KidZone,” a diverse selection of food and drink vendors, and a craft village and a beer tent will be on hand
