Laura Curran, Nassau County Executive, announced that the county would be hosting its own Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration (OBVR) for the first time. She explained that:
"OBVR provides a perfect 19th-Century backdrop for this magical and spooky event which we hope will also help spur economic activity in our local communities."
Poster printing services are often highly effective for promoting events when plenty of lead time is available, or at other times event planners may turn to Flyers for advertising.
The event is to run from October 2 through November 1. Nassau’s event will sport 7,000 Jack O’Lanterns and elaborate pumpkin sculptures highlighting icons from Long Island culture. Taking place outside, the Blaze is using timed admission and is touch-free with no places to congregate, as a one-way walkthrough path is employed. Masks will be required by all and no food or drinks will be available at the event.
Tickets must be purchased in advance to reduce touchpoints for the staff as well as visitors. Due to the limited capacity, this event is expected to sell out, so tickets should be purchased as early as possible. Tickets costs are $32 for adult, $24 for children ages 3 to 17.
