The Freeport Memorial Library, located just a short distance from Merrick, will be holding a ‘Rediscover Your Library in 2016’ day later this week.
Information about various programs will be set up in the lobby, with special programs and events during the afternoon.
The Long Island Progressive Coalition will be talking about its green energy program that can help homeowners make their homes more energy efficient and save money while promoting revitalization in the community.
Compare Foods Supermarket will teach attendees how to eat healthily in 2016, with a demonstration of how to make healthy yet delicious shakes that are fun to make yet provide all the needed vitamins and nutrition.
Daniel Mazzola, CFA, CPA, will discuss how to be smart financially, and in line with individual financial needs and goals.
At noon, the Freeport High School Alumni will be singing musical selections of Jason Roberts Brown, and at 2:00 pm, April Diane will be presenting a class on yoga for Adults. Also at 2:00 pm, Lawrence Wolf will hold a lecture about the Three Stooges comedy team, with music from their films and a display of movie memorabilia and Books, along with a question-and-answer period.
The program will be held this Saturday, January 16, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Brochures printers can be used by the Library to Print more details about the individual programs of the day.
