The Senior Health and Beyond Expo is taking place next month in Merrick. It is a presentation of Herald Community Newspapers.
The main reason for the expo is to let seniors know what is available for them in their community. There will be information about health services, community and government programs and seniors' recreational activities. There will also be free health screenings and hearing tests.
Among activities during the expo, there will be a panel discussion followed by a question and answer period. Visitors can also play exhibitor bingo where they collect Stamps by visiting the various exhibitor's booths. There will also be door prizes, giveaways and goody Bags provided by Long Branch Assisted Living.
There will be a performance of Jokercise performed by Howard Newman; part comedy, part exercise.
Mary Kay representatives will also be on hand to provide free consultations. All guests will receive a summer saving book and a one-year subscription to their favorite Long Island Herald newspaper. Drinks and appetizers will also be free.
Merrick printing services companies frequently provide signage for organizers and exhibitors at events like this.
The Senior's expo will be held at Merrick Jewish Center on August 8 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Admission is free. For the most up-to-date information about this event, contact Courtney Myers at 516-569-4000 x347.
